How can you skate well when you barely skate at all?

If somebody wants to get good at say... darts, then they will go to their dart board at home, and play darts. For ages. If somebody want to get good at running, they go outside and run. For ages. If somebody wants to get good at pretty much anything then time and effort are their only obstacles.

But what about downhill skateboarding? When you live in the flattest area known to man, what can you do but get along to weekend sessions? Weekend sessions that are often every-other-weekendly sessions. What do you do when you desperately want nothing more than to be getting better and better at skating hills, when you have such limited access to them? You have the energy, the determination, the time and it doesnt matter.

If you have hills in your area; appreciate them. Imagine how shit it would be not having them. I love downhill skateboarding, but it kills me not being able to progress as much as those with easy access to hills.

Despair, annoyance, miserableness.
